Why use the bad stuff when you can have good? Inspired by our surroundings, we work hard at choosing only premium natural materials from suppliers who care about their customers and the environment too.
Wood
Wood is at the heart of everything we do – so it's important that our timber comes from sustainable sources. We make sure our wood comes from FSC certified suppliers that are committed to sourcing wood from responsibly managed forests. Combining modern and traditional craftsmanship, each piece of wood is laser cut, before being hand-sanded (the good old fashioned way!) to create a super smooth exterior. Coated with a specially selected finish made from a blend of vegetable oils and waxes, the raw wood is given a subtle natural shine that allows it to age beautifully over time - with added protection from water and everyday dirt.
Stone
From ancient to modern. Our stone skins and cases are made from the most natural of materials. They're crafted from genuine slate stone; a totally inert and ecological mineral product. The production process for these beauties is simple and efficient - it doesn't get much more natural than that!. Each piece of slate is finely split to form an ultra-thin, lightweight layer with an enticing texture you’ll never get bored of touching.
Wool Felt
Our 100% Merino wool felt not only looks the part, it has qualities that we could only dream of -never mind in a wholly natural material! Sourced for its unique durability and good looks, wool is compressed down until it forms felt. Not only that but wool felt is a natural shock absorber. Making perfect for protecting your all important technology. Because wool is naturally durable, felt wont tear or fray. It’s also water resistant, lightweight and fully biodegradable, as well as animal-friendly. Phew!
Seashell
A one-kind-beauty straight from the ocean. Layers of real shell form a kaleidoscope of colours and iridescent patterns that capture the luster of the original sea shells. We source our abalone shells from South Africa, New Zealand and Japan where they are a by-product from the food industry. They’re not caught in the wild so not only are these shells stunningly beautiful, but the process of harvesting them doesn't harm any natural habitats or wild abalones.
Vegetable Tanned Leather
The real deal. Italian, full grain and vegetable tanned. Our leather is buttery soft, durable and has a natural look and feel. The more you use it, the better it gets. It's vegetable tanned using gentle chemical-free liquids derived from natural products like tree bark. The result is a rich, durable leather that ages beautifully and is better on the environment.
