MacBook Size & Model Guide

All of our MacBook skins are created to perfectly fit your machine. But that makes it really important that you select the right model when placing your order.
Please check your model number using the list below, before placing your order, otherwise it may not fit and you'll have to exchange it. Which isn't fun for anyone!
You can find your MacBook model number printed on the bottom of your MacBook. It starts with the letter A followed by 4 numbers.

MacBook sizes at a glance
11″ — MacBook Air (2010–2015) · 12″ — MacBook Retina · 13″ — most MacBook Airs and Pros, plus the new MacBook Neo — the most common size by far · 14″ — MacBook Pro (2021 onwards) · 15″ — older MacBook Pros and the newer big Air · 16″ — MacBook Pro (2019 onwards) · 17″ — the classic big Pro.
Not sure which yours is? The A-number on the base settles it — match it in the table below.
MacBook model questions, answered
Where do I find my MacBook's model number?
Flip your MacBook over. On the underside, in the small print near the hinge, you'll find a letter A followed by four digits — A2338, for example. That's the model number.
What does the A-number actually tell you?
It's Apple's own identifier for each exact machine — every screen size and generation has its own. It's the surest way to know which MacBook you have, because two machines that look identical can be different models underneath.
Why does the exact model matter for a skin?
Every skin we make is cut to fit one machine precisely — vents, feet and hinge included. A near-miss model won't sit right, so ten seconds checking now saves an exchange later.
My MacBook isn't listed — what now?
Send us a message with your A-number and we'll point you to the right fit, or tell you honestly if we don't make one for it yet.
Does the same skin fit MacBook Air and MacBook Pro?
No — even at the same screen size they're different shapes, so each has its own skin. Match the A-number and you can't go wrong.
What sizes do MacBooks come in?
Over the years, everything from 11″ to 17″. The table above lists every screen size by line and year — from the early 13″ and 15″ Pros through today's lineup — so you can see at a glance which sizes belong to which generation.
